Sultanahmet (Old City) Area:
This area offers a lot of small boutique hotels as well as a Four Seasons (which used to be a prison in the old days). Almost all of these hotels are located very close to some highlights of Istanbul such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc. where we can walk to just in minutes.
Some boutique hotels may be very small may not have a good isolation. Some of them used to be just wooden houses. Therefore please let us know if you are interested in staying in the old city area and we will find you a very good hotel.
Bosphorus and Taksim Area:
There are many international chain hotels in this area. These hotels are also close to some well known restaurants of Istanbul.
The Peninsula, Four Seasons, Ciragan Kempinski, Shangri La, JW Marriott and some others are located right by the Bosphorus strait where you can have a very good sea view room and enjoy the Bosphorus. There are also a lot of options on the hills of Bosphorus such as The Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Swissotel, Grand Hyatt, Intercontinental, St. Regis, Hyatt Park…
There is also a unique fine hotel called the Pera Palas which was built in late 1800’s for the passengers of Orient Express train. It is located on the other side of the Taksim, facing to the Golden horn. Another good option is Radisson Blu Pera where most of our guests enjoy a lot and has a very good roof top restaurant!
Important tip: Bosphorus and Taksim areas usually have busy traffic in the late afternoons. Therefore we recommend these areas if you planning to stay for at least 2 days or more. We usually finish tours little earlier (around 3:30-4:00 pm) to avoid the traffic.
